Ensemble Etoile was formed in 2004 in Vancouver, by a group of friends who decided to 'get back' into singing after having left the choral world either for professional or family reasons. Singers enjoy the musical company of one another and hope to share with others alike the joy of singing and friendship.
The ensemble is dedicated to artistic excellence through choral education and performance within the community. Repertoire includes early and classical choral styles, as well as folk and contemporary music, with a goal to expand in Canadian choral music. It aims to enrich the musical culture among the singers as well as their audience.
Since its inception, Ensemble Etoile has been holding music weekends, outreach programs for seniors and families. The ensemble also holds seasonal concerts in the Fall, Winter and Spring with local choirs in Metro Vancouver.
